Hi friend,
Have you ever laid awake at night worrying about your child's worrying? Wondering if you should be concerned about the way they hesitate before trying new things, or ask the same anxious questions over and over? Wondering if you're overreacting—or if you're missing something important that your child desperately needs you to see?
And in those moments, does your anxiety about their anxiety feel bigger than their anxiety itself?
If you've ever felt that way—if you've ever questioned whether your child's behavior is "just a phase" or the beginning of something that needs your attention—this week's episodes are for you.
Episode 52 Spotlight: Is My Child's Anxiety Normal? Peace for Exhausted Moms Without All the Answers
In this episode, I share what I've been learning about managing my own worry while supporting my five-year-old daughter through her anxious moments. I talk about:
- How my anxiety about her worrying was keeping me from being the calm presence she needed
- Three biblical truths that have anchored me in this season
- Why our children's struggles are NOT a reflection of our faith
- How to find peace when you don't have all the answers yet
This episode is less about education and more about encouragement—reminding you that you're not alone, you're not failing, and God is faithful even when you don't know what comes next.

Biblical Reflection
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." — Philippians 4:6-7 |
Mama, this verse doesn't tell you to stop caring about your child or to ignore your concerns. It doesn't say "pretend everything is fine" or "just have more faith."
It says: bring your anxiety TO God.
Bring the questions. Bring the uncertainty. Bring the fear that you're missing something or doing it wrong. Bring all of it to Him—with prayer, with your requests, with thanksgiving for His faithfulness even when you can't see the whole picture.
And when you do? His peace—the kind that doesn't make logical sense, the kind that surpasses understanding—will guard your heart and your mind while you're figuring things out.
You don't need all the answers today. You just need His peace guarding your heart as you take the next faithful step.
That's what He's offering you right now.
Prayer for This Week
God, I don't know exactly what my child needs, but You do. Show me what I need to see today. Give me wisdom for the next step. And help me trust You with what I can't see yet. Quiet my anxious heart so I can be the peaceful presence my child needs. Remind me that my child's struggle is not a reflection of my faith—but an opportunity for Your glory to be displayed through how I love them well. Thank You for Your peace that guards my heart and mind even when I don't have all the answers. Amen.
